Wooden Award Preseason Top 50 Watch List Revealed

We’re getting closer and closer to the start of a new college basketball season, and with that comes preseason rankings and awards list.

The biggest individual award of all though is the Wooden Award, which is handed down to the best player in college basketball.

The official Preseason Top 50 list was released earlier today, and as expected, it’s quite the list of players.

Tyler Zeller, 7-0, PF, Sr., North Carolina

Not too many surprises in this whole deal, though I’d say Seth Curry from Duke should have been included.

Again though, this is a preseason deal, and this is pretty much all speculation at this point anyways. We’ll probably see a different list towards the middle of the season, and an even more different list once we get to March.

Choosing one particular player that is head and shoulders above the rest right now is pretty much impossible.

Harrison Barnes is probably the early favorite to win it, simply because of his remarkable talent, and the fact that the Tar Heels might be the top team in the country entering the season.

One thing is for sure though. All of these players on the list are poised to have big seasons.
