facebooktwitterreddit

The 2013 player rankings are here. This class is shaping up to have the most talent since the class of 2007 that featured Derrick Rose, Kevin Love and Blake Griffin.

The 2013 class is led by Jabari Parker, Julius Randle, Nerlens Noel and Andrew Harrison.

Jabari is a highly skilled athlete on the offensive end and can score in a variety of ways. He has deep range on the jumper and can attack the basket with either hand. Jabari has a high basketball IQ which shows in his understanding of making the right pass in traffic to the open man or when to step into the passing lane for the steal. A versatile player who can play three positions on the court.

Julius is strong and explosive around the basket. He is very effective on the low block where he can use a variety of spin moves to attack the basket. The power forward can face up to score and is a high level rebounder. Julius is a top flight athlete, who is also a defensive force on the court.

Defense, defense and more defense is Nerlens game. The 6’10” center is one of the best shot blockers to come through the high school ranks in a long time. Nerlens has perfect timing in the paint which as a sophomore averaged ten blocks per game. The big man is an elite rebounder and can run the floor to finish on the fast break.

Andrew is a competitive point guard that has the ability to create. At 6’5” and 210lbs he has the size to finish plays at the rim and rebound at both ends. He has the quickness to get into the lane and has deep range on the jump shot. High basketball IQ and doesn’t force the action. Andrew’s twin brother, Aaron, plays the opposite guard.
