NCAA Tournament 2012: Creighton Tops Alabama 58-57

It was quite the 8/9 game in Greensboro today, but Doug McDermott and Creighton will advance to the third round after rallying to defeat Alabama, 58-57.

McDermott was the leading scorer for Creighton with 16 points and he also added 10 boards to give him a double-double on the afternoon.

The Crimson Tide had a seven-point lead at the half but it’ll be the Bluejays that move on to meet the winner of the 1/16 matchup between North Carolina and Vermont.

Creighton is now 29-5 on the year with the win, while Anthony Grant‘s Alabama squad will finish the season at 21-12.
