The Kansas Jayhawks are moving on to the third round of the 2012 NCAA tournament after a 65-50 victory over the 15-seed Detroit.
After two 15-seeds went down earlier today (Missouri and Duke), you know the Jayhawks had to be focused heading into this one as they knew what could potentially happen.
But they took care of business and were once again led by Thomas Robinson, who had a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds on the night.
Kansas managed to hold Detroit star Ray McCallum to just eight points on 4 of 15 shooting.
Robinson and company will now look ahead to a meeting with Purdue on Sunday after the Boilermakers knocked off seven-seed Saint Mary’s earlier tonight.
