Indiana is still a runaway No. 1 in the college basketball Coaches’ Poll, receiving 26 out of a possible 31 first-place votes. Louisville, meanwhile, holds steady at No. 2 with five first-place votes.
Wide-scale changes begin at No. 3, where previous placeholder Kentucky no longer appears. The Wildcats, following their loss at the Champions Classic to Duke, dropped to No. 7 in the poll. Ohio State (No. 4 to No. 3) and Michigan (No. 5 to No. 4) each moved up a spot while Duke rounds out the Top 5.

Kansas fell from No. 7 to No. 11 after its loss to Michigan State, now No. 19, in the Champions Classic. The coaches most disagreed with the writers on Michigan State, which registered at No. 15 in the AP poll.
Baylor and Wisconsin, like Kentucky and Kansas, sunk four spots. The Bears fell from No. 17 to No. 21 thanks to their two-point loss to Colorado in the Charleston Classic semifinals. The Badgers, who were whipped by Florida in Gainesville, dipped from No. 20 to No. 24. North Carolina State suffered the biggest dropoff of any team in the poll. The Wolfpack, tumbled from No. 6 to No. 15.
Notre Dame is the only school to fall out of the poll. The Fighting Irish (previously No. 21) fell to Saint Joseph’s in overtime of the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic semis on Friday. Oklahoma State is the only newcomer in the poll, a first-time occupant after trouncing N.C. State in the championship game of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.
