Big East Tournament Bracket: Seedings Set, Schedule Finalized

The Big East football-playing schools — minus Connecticut — and possibly Notre Dame will complete their conference farewell tours at the world’s most famous arena this week. Now the stage is set for one final heavyweight bash.

The seedings and pairings are in place for the 2013 Men’s Basketball Big East Tournament , which tips off Tuesday and concludes Saturday in prime time at Madison Square Garden. Connecticut (10-8), which finished tied with Villanova for seventh in the conference, is ineligible for the postseason due to low Academic Progress Rate test scores.

3. Marquette 14-4
4. Pittsburgh 12-6

6. Notre Dame 11-7
7. Villanova 10-8
8. Providence 9-9
9. Cincinnati 9-9
10. St. John’s 8-10
11. Rutgers 5-13
12. Seton Hall 3-15
13. South Florida 3-15

Seton HALL BABY!!! Dickie V voice, maybe? No? Ok, I was kidding either
way, lol. I think Georgetown is riding a big wave right now, and not
only are they feeling good after yesterday’s win, they are going to make
this last push a memorable one for the Big East! I live in Colorado,
and work a lot of weird hours at DISH lately, but I’ve been trying to
follow the Big East’s finale all year, and think Georgetown has the best
chance heading in, although Marquette scares me a bit. My DISH
Anywhere app is helping me stay current, as I can take my live TV and
DVR anywhere I go on an Android or Apple device. It’s really cool being
able to turn on the game live after work, and if the game is a bust I
just flip on one of my movies!
