The ‘stache is back at Gonzaga and the Bulldogs couldn’t be happier. Adam Morrison, the former high scoring Gonzaga forward turned NBA punch line will be a student assistant for his former team this year. CBS reported the news. Morrison is enrolled in some classes at the school and thus, is allowed to be part of the coaching staff as a student.

For the current Bulldogs players, this is a great opportunity to learn from one of the best college scorers in recent memory. Regardless of how his NBA career eventually turned out, Adam Morrison was one of the funnest players to watch in his time at Gonzaga. While he might not bring a lot of technical aspects to the staff, Morrison can act as a mentor to the younger players and work on their shooting mechanics and offensive moves with them.

Coming off a number one overall seed in the NCAA tournament, a second round upset and losing star Kelly Olynyk, Gonzaga is still ranked fairly high at 16th in the preseason top 25. A lot of the scoring is expected to come from the back court, especially from Canadian point guard, Kevin Pangos who has Morrison’s trigger finger. The young guard has never met a shot he didn’t like.

Besides, with the news of Morrison returning, it would be hard to pass up on the chance to post this memorable video.
