After an excellent showing with the Team USA under 19 squad, Justise Winslow upped his recruiting status as high as it could get. The 6″6 wing was already being pursued by most big time programs and his stellar performance on the international scene established him as a can’t miss prospect for scouts around the NCAA.

As per Zags Blog, Winslow is set to to visit the Florida campus this weekend and will be at UCLA the weekend after that. The hype for Winslow is literally coast to coast at this point. At the moment, Winslow has eight schools on his list, Duke, Florida, Kentucky, Kansas, Texas A&M, Arizona, UCLA and Stanford. While he has previously said he would cut three in the near future, there has been no indication as to which schools might be in danger. The Winslow camp has been very good at keeping everything hushed and there is no clear favorite to win the young man’s affections.

Whichever schools eventually lands Winslow will have one of the most versatile players in his draft class. He rebounds extremely well for a wing, has a great scoring instinct and can create opportunities for others. His skills on defense are impressive for a younger player, most of whom would rather put up points at Winslow’s age. On top of that, Winslow is extremely athletic and runs the court like an NBA player.

There is no indication as to when Winslow will make his final decision but with how slowly he has taken things so far, a fall decision should not be expected.
