Best conference in the country?

JN: The Big Ten with the Pac 12 not that far behind. The ACC is clearly not as powerful as most thought it would be this year. The Big East is still growing as the new version of its old self or something. As for the Big 12, well, I just don’t think they are as deep as the other two. So yeah, I gave default reasons but life is tough.

BLW:  I have to go with the Big Ten, by a very narrow margin over the PAC-12 and the Big 12.  The B1G has three teams with a legitimate chance to win it all in March.  No other conference has that many teams who seem that good at this point in the season.

JM: For at least the second season in a row it’s the Big Ten, hands down. Michigan State, Ohio State and Wisconsin all look like Final Four teams, how many other conferences can you say have three teams that legitimately look like they have deep postseason runs in them? Those three teams combined have 6 losses, yet Michigan and Iowa already have better conference records (5-0 and 4-1 respectively) than all besides Michigan State in the conference. And that seems to be the trend with the Big Ten; despite how well some of these teams play nationally, there are other teams within the conference who aren’t regarded as highly who continue to contend and earn tournament spots by beating up on each other.
