New Mexico State Aggies

Record: (29-4, 16-2 MW)

RPI: 77

BPI: 77

Conference: Mountain West

How They Qualified: Automatic (Won Conference Tournament)

The New Mexico State Aggies are no stranger to dancing in the NCAA Tournament. However, few New Mexico State teams were put in a position to fail in such an immediate fashion right out of the gates. Unfortunately for the Aggies they open their postseason lives against a very, very good San Diego State team.

What You Need to Know

Leading Scorer: Daniel Mullings (16.8 ppg)

Leading Rebounder: Sim Bhullar (7.5 rpg)

Leading Passer: Daniel Mullings (3.5 apg)

Bad Losses: Colorado State, Chicago State, UMKC

Good Wins: None (Won their league?)

What to Expect

Lots of weird, random Sim Bhullar related love. The legit 7’5″ behemoth will surely be a fan favorite.

Outside of that, however, it is really hard to believe that this version of New Mexico State is any real threat to wear a pair of dancing slippers deep into the tournament.

With that being said, though, that’s why Cinderella is viewed the way she is. No one saw that lady coming, much like the Aggies.

Regardless, the New Mexico State Aggies are going dancing in the NCAA Tournament!
