Widely regarded to and affectionately known as “The Region of Death,” the Midwest features the lone undefeated in men’s college basketball (Wichita State Shockers), the defending national champ Louisville Cardinals, and national champions from years past with the Duke Blue Devils, Michigan Wolverines, Kentucky Wildcats, and North Carolina State Wolfpack.

The Shockers were given arguably the most treacherous path to the Final Four of any number one seed. A second round win means a possible date with Kentucky in the round of 32. Another win could result in a game with Rick Pitino‘s defending national champ Cardinals. And yet another win in the Sweet Sixteen could set up a meeting with either Duke or Michigan for a trip to the Final Four. Sounds delightful.

Let’s take a look at the Midwest Region.
