With arguably the top-ranked 2014 recruiting class getting acclimated on campus as is, the Duke Blue Devils and Mike Krzyzewski may be on their way to another top-ranked class. Last night, 2016 big man Chase Jeter announced he’d be attending Duke University, giving Coach K the second commitment for hte class of 2015.

Jeter chose the Blue Devils over Arizona, Kansas, Oregon, UCLA, and UNLV. Ranked #13 overall by ESPN and #8 by Rivals, Jeter joins Luke Kennard as top 40 prospects to commit to Durham.

In his hometown of Las Vegas, the 6’10” center averaged a double-double next to fellow 2015 prospect Stephen Zimmerman. Jeter will likely be the featured big man in Duke, as they’ll likely lose center and 2014 top prospect Jahlil Okafor to the NBA as a one-and-done prospect.

According to Adam Finkelstein of ESPN, the Blue Devils will likely shift their focus now to wingman Brandon Ingram. Ingram is ranked one spot ahead of Jeter according to ESPN, slotted at 12th. A North Carolina product, Ingram is expected to visit Durham this week. His commitment could potentially give the Blue Devils another star-studded recruiting class.
