Regardless of your preferred recruiting site, Tatum is one of the top prospects listed on the site. Scout ranks him highest at #1, while ESPN ranks him 3rd and Rivals lists him lowest at 4th. Regardless, he’s one of the most highly sought after recruits in the class and definitely one team and fans are keeping an eye on.

The 6’7″ small forward has the skill set of a guard, both offensively and defensively. Able to guard multiple positions, Tatum can bring superior length to the defensive end. Offensively, Tatum has a great ability to get to the rim and his high IQ is what ranks him so highly on lists.

With few recruits, especially top ones, having committed in the 2016 class, Tatum’s narrowing of lists helps many teams focus. For schools like Kentucky, Duke, Arizona and Kansas, Tatum is likely to top a class of fellow top-ranked recruits. However, schools like Missouri, Wake Forest, and St. Louis need Tatum to really make waves in recruiting.
