Four-star guard, Shake Milton, chooses SMU Mustangs

Larry Brown has once again landed a big-time recruit for Southern Methodist, this time earning a commitment from four-star guard Shake Milton.

Clearly, Brown’s history as an NBA coach with experience coaching big names has played a role in landing yet another big recruit.

Milton is the 79th ranked recruit in 247Sports’ composite rankings, coming in as the 24th point guard. For Brown and the SMU Mustangs, this is a big recruit following the loss of Emmanuel Mudiay. Milton is a versatile point guard who can score, facilitate, rebound, defend, and just about everything in between.

Milton will give Brown a great point guard for the future, as he’s likely a multi-year player and a cornerstone for Brown’s team for years to come. This is the third commit for SMU, who already had commits from point guard Sedrick Barefield and small forward Jarrey Foster. However, Milton gives the recruiting class a lot more bite.

Brown and his staff may turn their attention to a couple more guards, with 247Sports listing SMU as big players for both Admon Gilder and LaGerald Vick, the former a four-star prospect and the latter a three-star recruit.

What do you think of the commit of Milton? Did he make the right choice? Let us know down below!
