Dunk of the Weekend: Montrezl Harrell Finishes the Alley-Oop for the Louisville Cardinals (w/ video)
By Daniel Tran
Why do Louisville Cardinals fans even get excited anymore? You would think after a record-breaking 163+ dunks from Montrezl Harrell to become the all-time leading dunker at Louisville, fans would greet his slams with golf-like applause. But no; Harrell still manages to stir the Cardinal faithful into a frenzy with his powerful put-backs and his unequaled aggression at the rim.
Harrell managed add to another classic to his now cartoonish list of dunks. With every one of these dunks, Harrell adds to his legendary dunk total. This time it was the North Carolina Tar Heels that were a victim of his wrath.
There have been some great dunks this season, but there is no obvious memory of a dunk where the recipient of an alley-oop reaches back past the backboard with his momentum going forward and still able to have the hang time and dexterity to finish the play. Apparently, there are dunks that still amaze the Cardinals who have been witness to a seemingly endless fountain of dunks from Harrell.
