Predictability is not supposed to be the name of game in College Basketball. Tournaments like the Pac-12 Tournament are supposed to be the essence of collegiate basketball in March: utter chaos.

The first day of the Pac-12 tournament provided some of that. The Colorado Buffaloes were able to look like the team everyone predicted them to be, and pulled off a win against higher ranked Oregon State. USC, who entered the tournament as the lowest seed, shocked everyone by beating No. 5 seeded Arizona State, coming back from a large deficit late in the game.

Headed into day two of the Pac-12 Tournament, many were hoping for some semblance of that disorder. A day where at least one of the top-seeded teams, who took an extra day to rest, would be caught sleeping and we can witness a team that would defy the odds and reach heights that no one predicted. That is what college basketball is supposed to be about.

Would fans be treated to that? Would they have a chance to experience the pandemonium that is March Madness in all its unknowable glory?

Day two of the Pac-12 tournament featured the classic battle between talented teams and teams riding a wave of success from the previous day. Would rhythm win against rest? The results were frustratingly predictable.
