Brackets have been announced for the 2017 2K Classic and some of the teams and match-ups will be interesting to watch.

Holiday tournaments are one of the most exciting parts about pre-conference college basketball, and the 2017 season will be no different.

Last season in the 2016 2K Classic, the Michigan Wolverines defeated the SMU Mustangs in the championship game while the Pittsburgh Panthers defeated the Marquette Golden Eagles in the third place game.

The 2017 2K Classic will feature four teams from the ACC, Big East, Pac-12, and A-10 – the Virginia Tech Hokies, Providence Friars, Washington Huskies, and Saint Louis Billikens, respectively.

Remember, the 2K Classic is just a two-round, two-day tournament. The first round will be played on November 16, while the championship and third place games will be played on November 17.

All games from the 2017 2K Classic will be on ESPN2. The first game at 7:00 p.m. ET on November 16 will be Virginia Tech versus Saint Louis followed by Providence versus Washington at 9:30 p.m. ET.

The team to watch in this one is clearly Virginia Tech. While Providence is another solid squad in the field, the Hokies have a legitimate shot at ousting big-name teams at the top of the ACC teams next season. Washington will be rebuilding yet again now that their star from a season ago is gone and Saint Louis, once a mid-major darling, is still trying to get back to the top of the A-10. I expect Virginia Tech to win this tournament.
