Fresh off their 2017 National Championship, North Carolina basketball has a fun non-conference schedule approaching to get the new season underway.

Despite losing Tony Bradley, Justin Jackson, Isaiah Hicks, and Kennedy Meeks, North Carolina will be back and ready to make a difference this upcoming season. They are led by star guard Joel Berry and will compete for a possible ACC title. Coach Roy Williams will have to work with a relatively young roster built around Berry, but they will surely be among the country’s best this season.

Williams brings in the 17th ranked recruiting class in the country according to 247Sports. As the team looks to make up for their losses from last season, it is important that they come away with victories in the non-conference while figuring out a new rotation. Figuring out which players are going to be the go-to scorers and what role everybody is going to play will not be easy.

It might take some time for the entire team to gel together and play top-level basketball, but no matter what they will be ranked near the top of the country. North Carolina holds the second longest streak in the country at 27 consecutive seasons making an appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

They have also been a one seed in each of the past two seasons. Will that streak continue heading into the 2017-2018 season? The non-conference strength of schedule and record will make a difference in that, so let’s take a peek at which teams they are going to face prior to the New Year.
