Amidst the news of TCU junior guard Jaylen Fisher’s transfer, the former highly-touted recruit will immediately hit the transfer market. Who could be a suitor for Fisher?

Almost two months into the College Basketball season, and the transfer market has gained a big add.

After three injury-plagued seasons, TCU junior point guard Jaylen Fisher intends to transfer from the university. Fisher was once a four-star recruit, and is the highest-ranked recruit in school history.

While Fisher had always produced when on the floor, knee injuries have been the defining point of his career. The 21-year old has undergone three knee surgeries in two-and-a-half years at TCU, and hasn’t played since mid-December with knee swelling.

The injuries are certainly a major cause for the news, as Fisher never truly seemed to hit his stride at TCU, as when his play improved, it seemed as if an injury would pop up soon thereafter.

Fisher leaves a major void at TCU, even if his loss won’t be felt for another season. TCU has had strong guard play in Fisher’s absence, but with the departure of senior guard Alex Robinson after this season, TCU will have a major need to address in the offseason.

As for Fisher’s eligibility, after playing in just nine games this season, Fisher will apply for, and likely get, an NCAA red shirt waiver. Fisher will have two years of eligibility remaining, and should be able to make an immediate impact, assuming that he is eligible to play as soon as next season.

As a former four-star point guard who has proven to put up number on offense, Fisher will definitely be very sought after on the transfer market. Many teams can use a scoring point guard for next season, and therefore Fisher will certainly have many options as to where he will spend the final two years of his college career.

Here are three teams that could be of interest to transfer guard Jaylen Fisher.
