Michigan Basketball is coming off another disappointing road loss as they host Maryland on Saturday. Can they right the ship and beat a streaking Terrapins team and stay perfect at home?

Matchup: Maryland Terrapins (19-6, 10-4 Big Ten) at Michigan Wolverines (22-3, 11-3 Big Ten)

Date and time: Saturday, Feb. 16 at 12:00 p.m. ET

TV schedule: FOX

Location: Crisler Center, Ann Arbor, MI

Michigan Basketball is coming off their worst loss on the year when they were defeated by Penn State on Tuesday night. The Wolverines had a disastrous first half that included a questionable no-call on a screen on Zavier Simpson that led to John Beilein getting two technicals and tossed from the game as Michigan was headed to the locker room. The layup the Nittany Lions made after the no-call and the subsequent three free-throws made put the Wolverines down 16 to start the second half.

Michigan did show fight in the second half and got the lead down to four with the ball but could not get any closer. They again made it close in the last minute but Penn State hit enough free throws to hold them off. It was only the Nittany Lions second conference win of the year. It also kept Michigan from keeping a one-game lead on the rest of the Big Ten after Purdue lost to Maryland earlier in the night.

Michigan must get back on track quickly as Maryland comes to town on Saturday. The Terrapins have been playing very well lately including their win over Purdue on Tuesday. Anthony Cowan Jr. leads the team in scoring at 16 points per game, but the Terrapins lean heavily on their two big men, Bruno Fernando, and Jalen Smith. The one-two combo down low has been a matchup problem for a lot of teams this year and will be a tough task for the Wolverines.

Michigan is looking to stay perfect at home, while the Terrapins are looking for a big road win. Here are three keys for the Wolverines to come out on top and stay at the top of the Big Ten.
