It was an interesting week of Big 12 Basketball. We had some close games between tournament teams as well as some changes in the top half of the conference.

It was a typical Big 12 basketball Saturday filled with some blowout wins for top teams with some bubble teams adding to their resume.

The Baylor Bears and West Virginia Mountaineers both suffered blowout losses on the road. West Virginia has struggled all season while Baylor has been one of the surprise teams in the conference.

The Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns both picked up wins as they look to bolster their NCAA Tournament resumes. Kerwin Roach led the way with 16 points in the home win.

Iowa State picked up a huge win on the road against Kansas State. Dean Wade went out with a foot injury in the second half and the Cyclones capitalized. Lindell Wigginton led the way with 23 points while Talen Horton-Tucker had 20 points as well.

We didn’t have any thrilling finishes this week but we saw most of the top teams continue their pursuit towards a Big 12 championship.

With the Kansas State Wildcats falling the door to a Big 12 basketball regular Season title is wide open for a handful of teams. It’s going to be an exciting last couple of weeks in the Big 12. Here are three of the top takeaways from this week’s action.
