Texas Tech basketball has been remarkably successful under head coach Chris Beard. What does his 2019 recruiting class bring to the table?

Texas Tech basketball has been steadily rising up the national ranks with head coach Chris Beard at the helm. After missing the Big Dance in the first season under the superstar coach, the Red Raiders reached the Elite Eight in 2017-18 before making the title game during this past season. It is clear that the program is reaching new heights on the court and this is certainly a result of improved successes on the recruiting trail.

Coach Beard does an excellent job building relationships with transfers and high school recruits and that has led to clear improvements with regards to talent influx in Lubbock. Looking ahead to this coming season, the Red Raiders are bringing in the No. 15 overall recruiting class in the country. This group consists of seven commits, including two four-star prospects ranked in the nation’s top-100.

With these player joining the roster, as well as three incoming transfers, Texas Tech will look very different during this coming campaign. Due to this, it is reasonable to expect that some of these newcomers will take on immediate roles within the program. Now, without any further ado, let’s dive into analyzing each of the seven incoming recruits.
