11 NCAA Basketball programs have already landed two commits from the 2020 class. How have these top early classes developed and what’s next?

Recruiting is arguably the most important aspect of building a successful NCAA basketball program. Of course, in-game coaching and player development are also vital, but it is hard to ignore the correlation between recruiting rankings and success on the court. Quite simply, there are very few things as vital to consistency as strong recruiting year after year. At this point in the year, the majority of the top recruits in the country remain uncommitted.

While the team recruiting rankings will clearly change dramatically over the next year, there are 11 programs that have already landed two commits from the 2020 class. These programs have been hot on the trail early and it is paying dividends. Being able to jump on the opportunity to snag high-quality players prior to the summer finishing up is not something that every program can do and these hot starts could lead into creating one of the top-rated classes in the nation. For some of these schools, this is only the beginning considering there are more open 2020 scholarships to fill.

Bluebloods snagging top-rated prospects will clearly change the dynamics at the top of the team rankings, but nobody should overlook the programs that are ahead of the game at this moment. These snags could be the makings of an elite recruiting class for a team or two on this list. Now, without any further ado, let’s dive into analyzing the programs with two (or more) early commits.
