Notre Dame basketball is one of the top recruiting programs in the nation. Who is the Fighting Irish targeting in the 2020 class?

Notre Dame basketball has missed the NCAA Tournament in each of the last two seasons but the program is still in great shape moving forward. Head coach Mike Brey is one of the most underrated leaders in the entire country and he should quickly bring the Fighting Irish back to national relevance. That resurgence could occur right away during this coming season but it is also important to look at their recruiting efforts to determine the future.

Notre Dame does not currently hold an early commitment in the 2020 recruiting class but they have made strong inroads with several targets. Additionally, Coach Brey’s last group of commits in 2018 finished at No. 15 in the national class rankings – it is clear that the program can recruit at a high level. The Fighting Irish are a dangerous program in any recruiting battle and there is a strong chance of commitments with their current targets.

Notre Dame will be waving goodbye to Rex Pflueger, T.J. Gibbs, and John Mooney after this coming season and there will definitely be some holes to fill.  At this point, it feels as though Notre Dame is prioritizing six prospects in the 2020 recruiting class. So, without any further ado, let’s dive into analyzing who the Fighting Irish’s top targets are and where the program stands in those recruiting battles.
