WCC Basketball is once again dominated by three teams at the top. How many of them have a chance to make the NCAA tournament?

WCC Basketball is hoping, more than anything, to buck the trend of being just a one-bid conference in the NCAA tournament.

Gonzaga for years has been the only team representing the conference in the tournament, while teams like BYU and St. Mary’s come close but don’t quite get over the hump.

This could be the year, however, that not only is Gonzaga joined by one other WCC school, but two.

Both St. Mary’s and BYU are within KenPom’s top 50 rankings at this point in the season, and while both have their flaws they do have a good chance of doing some damage come March – although they’ll probably have to beat Gonzaga at least once to make it.

The rest of the conference continues to plod along, with a few schools making some early season noise in the non-conference, but not likely enough to merit serious tournament consideration.

Here are updated power rankings of the West Coast Conference as we head into the Holiday’s and eventually the start of conference play.
