Kennedy Chandler is one of the top overall guards in the 2021 NCAA Basketball recruiting class. Which teams are among his final options?

While the 2020 recruiting class is rightfully getting all the attention, all the NCAA Basketball also has their eyes on the following year’s group of prospects as well. The 2021 class is incredibly talented, featuring players such as Jonathan Kuminga, Chet Holmgreen, Kennedy Chandler, and many others.

So far, only one prospect in the top-50 has committed from the 2021 group, No. 8 overall AJ Griffin who will be playing for the Duke Blue Devils. He’s a small forward, leaving the two lone five-star true point guards on the board in Khristian Lander and the previously mentioned Chandler.

Speaking of Chandler, the consensus five-star point guard has recently announced a list of 10 teams he’s currently considering. As the No. 15 overall player in the 2021 class, it’s not surprising that the best of the best are among his list of finalists.

With the 2021 class being so frontcourt and wing heavy, there’s going to be a lot of pressure for teams to land Chandler, especially those who aren’t projected to have a lead ball-handler that is currently on their respective rosters. He’s someone to target for sure, with elite athleticism and a supreme ability to create his own shots and for others as well. Although he’s just 6’1 Chandler plays much bigger than his size, on both sides of the court.

At this point, it’s anyone’s guess where the Memphis, Tennessee native goes. There are a few visits set up this NCAA Basketball season, with five more coming next year. But these 10 teams will have to survive another cut before the recruitment really heats up. But for now, here’s a look at each program Chandler could be playing for in the 2021-22 season.
