The Cardinals’ offer came just a few days after the coaching staff hosted him on a virtual visit. Coleman also heard from Virginia, for the first time, on April 21.

Wake Forest is the only place to receive an official visit to date from Coleman as he visited there, Feb. 21-23.

“The visit went well,” Coleman said of Wake Forest. “They were pretty much saying that if I come in and I play with them, I’m going to have to step up and fill some big shoes.”

“From the school standpoint, I like that it’s a small campus, so I wouldn’t have to do too much driving around,” he said. “Also, from a basketball standpoint, coach [Danny] Manning lets his players go out and play.”

Coleman took in Wake’s victory over Duke while on campus. The Deacs have one commit from the 2021 class, three-star 6-10 center Trey James.

Georgia Tech: The Yellow Jackets were one of the first teams to offer and have been recruiting him pretty hard, Coleman said. He has unofficially visited Georgia Tech several times and has had two in-home visits with them.

“Pretty much, I would come in and have the ball in my hands right from the start, playing 40 minutes,” Coleman said about the Jackets pitch.

Tech does not have any commits yet from the 2021 class.

Memphis: Coleman said that Memphis has been recruiting him hard as well, and he likes the NBA experience of Penny Hardaway and Mike Miller. He also likes the fact that Hardaway lets the guys play.  Memphis does not have a commitment from the class of 2021.

Maryland: Coleman and the Terrapins are in the feeling out stage. Maryland does not have a commitment from the class of 2021.

Oregon: Coleman is also in the preliminary stages with the Ducks. Oregon currently has a commitment from 2021 four-star center Isaac Johnson.

UNC: He took an unofficial to Chapel Hill back during football season and said that the coaching staff has kept in touch to see how he is doing during the quarantine. The Tar Heels have one commitment from four-star forward Dontrez Styles in 2021.

Tulsa: “They’ve just [been] asking me what I’ve been doing during quarantine and telling me stuff about the school and basketball program itself.” Tulsa does not have a commitment from the class of 2021.

Clemson: He took an unofficial to Clemson back in the fall, and they had been texting him regularly. The Tigers do not have a commitment from the class of 2021 yet.

Ole Miss: Coleman received his offer on April 10 and was super excited. “This offer means a lot to me,” he told Ben Garrett of 247Sports. “I’m grateful they offered and for them to say I can help their program. I know a couple of things about Ole Miss. (Ole Miss head) Coach (Kermit) Davis is very active with his players, they’re big on player development, and they have a winning mentality.” The Rebels do not have a commitment from the class of 2021.

Florida: The Gators were one of the first to offer him, and he took an unofficial visit back in October. UF does not have a commitment from the class of 2021.

So, when will he make his college decision, and what are the factors that will go into his college choice? Coleman said that he plans on cutting his list down at the end of summer and make his decision before the start of the high school season. In terms of factors:

"“Just how much of a relationship have I developed with some of the coaches on the staff. I’m looking at players that are there and that are leaving, opening a spot for me, where I could come in, play and be effective. Player development, as well.”"
