With the senior seasons complete for 2020 prospects across the country, who were some of the biggest late risers in NCAA basketball recruiting?

Amidst concerns regarding the spread of the coronavirus, the high school careers of many 2020 NCAA basketball recruits were cut short a bit earlier than expected. Yet, several of them were still able to make major strides in their senior campaigns that led to boosts in their recruiting rankings or stock.

Some of the breakouts could be the result of showing improvement in previously deficient areas or simply the response to standout performances at some of the nation’s top high school events. Regardless of how they made the jump, these players all look poised for big-time collegiate careers considering their current trajectories.

While many were already highly-rated players committed to big-time programs before their senior years, there were others that experienced recruiting booms by virtue of their recent play. All of them, though, are trending in the right direction before their freshmen seasons and also appear to be heading to situations where they could be placed in positions to succeed right away.

This article will dive deeper into some of the players that improved their stock most over the past few months. This can include those that made massive jumps in recruiting rankings at sites such as 247Sports or Rivals, while others might be those that just seemed to take the next step in their development.

How did these players make their leaps and what might they bring to the table for their future schools? Let’s jump in. (Note: All recruiting rankings used in this article are from the 247Sports Composite for the 2020 class unless otherwise noted.)
