Sharpshooter Makale Foreman is the latest addition to the NCAA Basketball transfer portal. Which teams should be in play for the graduate guard?

It’s been a tough past few days for Stony Brook. The mid-major NCAA Basketball program lost their top scorers from this past season and essentially have to start over. One of those departures in Makale Foreman, who had a huge past season with the Seawolves.

The 6’1 guard was second on the team with 15.6 ppg, while producing 2.8 rpg and 2.0 apg on the season. He shot just 37% from the field but Foreman’s specialty was from the three-point line, where he shot 36% from the field. It wasn’t just the efficiency but the sheer volume, making a total of 104 shots from deep. That was good for the single-season record at Stony Brook in his lone year with the program.

Foreman had 14 games of at least four made three-pointers, with a six-game stretch at the start of America East play. There was his 8/10 effort against UMBC, one of many games of scoring at least 20 points in a game. Now as a graduate transfer with immediate eligibility, Foreman will have plenty of suitors at the power conference level, with a number of teams still in need of a veteran guard.

While he’s more suited to play off the ball, Foreman can also be a backup point guard for teams who don’t have a clear-cut reserve. There are some NCAA Basketball who could use the Stony Brook shooter; here are 10 to keep an eye on.
