Bench
F- Shane Battier – Left off the starters only by a thin margin, Battier still ranks as one of the greatest to ever play college basketball. Apart of the 2001 Duke squad that won a title, Battier was named defensive player of the year three times and the Final Four Most Outstanding Player in 2001.
F – Sean May – The ACC (or Duke-UNC) domination continues as May finds his spot on this bench. Despite not being named National Player of the Year, May dominated the college basketball scene in 2005, leading UNC to a title and being named Final Four Most Outstanding Player.
G – Steph Curry – Does anyone think this man shouldn’t be on the list? In arguably the greatest one-man show in NCAA history, Curry nearly single-handedly carried Davidson into the Final Four his sophomore year, losing only to eventual champions Kansas.
C – Joakim Noah – Apart of the dynasty that was the Florida Gators, Noah was the key component of their back-to-back titles, winning Most Outstanding Player and leading the stacked Florida teams.
F – Blake Griffin – Before becoming the human highlight reel in the NBA, Griffin took college basketball by storm. His two seasons saw him dominate, amassing 30 double-doubles in his freshman year alone. He was consensus national player of the year and first-team All-American in 2009.
