2015 NBA Draft Big Board Top 10, Week Six

6. Caris LeVert, Guard, Michigan Wolverines
LeVert may be higher on this list than some others, but he really has a nice game that should translate well into the NBA. While Michigan has notably struggled this year, it hasn’t been at the fault of LeVert. In their infamous loss to New Jersey Institute of Technology, LeVert had 32 points on 11-18 shooting, scoring just shy of half of the Wolverines points.
At 6’6″, LeVert has great size for a shooting guard. Add in his silky smooth release and he’s going to project well into the NBA. At times, he can even play a point guard role as he leads Michigan in assists as well, an aspect of his game that is improving.
However, he still has a way to go as he’s also averaging 2.2 turnovers a game compared to his 3.9 assists. He’ll need to add some muscle to his frame, but both thinks can be learned at the next level, which he will succeed at.

5. Myles Turner, Center, Texas Longhorns
Turner has been the least heralded freshman center this year, but he has been very impressive. He’s part of an athletic front line that gave the Kentucky Wildcats all kinds of fits. His most impressive performance, however, was his most recent in his win over Lipscomb where he had 26 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 blocks.
Turner’s elite size (he stands 6’11”, 240 pounds) projects him nicely. Even more, he still has a lot of filling out to do in his frame, meaning he’ll get even bigger. Unlike Okafor or Towns, he’s not elite on offense or defense. However, he’s still 18 and he’s still developing both physically and from a skill stand point.
However, it’s clear Turn is developing even as long as goes along, so expect big things from him.
