After an incredible week of action in college basketball, our projected bracket is back for this week’s Bracketology.
Since last week’s edition of Bracketology, there have been plenty of upsets that have made the college basketball scene very unpredictable. By just looking at the AP top-14 teams in the country from last week, the following all took losses: Villanova, Kansas, Kentucky, Florida State x2, UCLA, North Carolina, Oregon, Butler, Virginia, Notre Dame x2. That is a massive amount of teams taking tumbles, and because of that, it leads to less change in a projected bracket than one might think.
Nonetheless, with under a month and a half until Selection Sunday, there are bound to be changes. We have you covered with yet another predicted bracket this week. This bracket accounts for all results through Sunday, January 29th.
Looking forward into this week, there are plenty of teams looking to fight their way into tournament contention while others are trying their best to work their way up the seed lines. Even with a loss this week, Villanova remains the top overall seed in this bracket, while the undefeated Gonzaga Bulldogs stay as a one seed due to their perfect record.
There have been several other movers and shakers, including Arizona, who continues their hot streak of games. Even with UCLA and Oregon, the Wildcats are now the top-seeded team from the Pac-12.
Now, without any more introduction, let’s get into this week’s bracket, a small sample of the bubble, and where our bids by conference stand.
