Alaina Coates, South Carolina

Alaina Coates is perhaps the player in this draft most likely to dominate at the next level. The 6-4 center would likely be No. 1 on this list if not for two things. The top reason she is not on atop of the list is that she will miss part of WNBA season after undergoing ankle surgery, according to Howard Megdal of The Summitt.

Coates is an excellent scorer in the post and a fantastic rebounder. She also runs the floor exceptionally well and is a good passer as well as a good shot blocker.

Coates averaged a double-double this past season with 12.9 points and10.7 rebounds to go along with 1.4 blocks  — the second consecutive season she has posted such numbers. She shot 67.0% from the field the field. Coates missed the final nine games of the season.
