7. Kameron Rooks

Former program: Cal Golden Bears

Eligibility: Immediate for 2017-2018

7’1″, 265-pound Kameron Rooks is an interesting puzzle. He’s gotten better every year at Cal, but he’s never averaged more than 17 minutes in any season. However, Rooks’ last campaign might be his best yet after averaging a career-high 4.9 points on 55% shooting. He was also third in rebounding and blocks with 4.5 and .9, respectively. At a minimum, he is a true 7-footer with plenty of experience against top competition.

Rooks has San Marcos, CA, listed as his hometown, so it is no surprise to see reports that Gonzaga and San Diego State in the mix. He also might want to get away from home for a season. In that case, plenty of others are interested including Iowa State, UConn, and Georgetown. Keep an eye on where the young man ultimately schedules his official visits.
