Carsen Edwards, Purdue

Carsen Edwards struggled a bit in his first season with Purdue. The 6’1″ point guard was solid on the defensive end, ranking 10th in the Big Ten in steal percentage, but struggled with turnovers. He averaged 1.8 assists and 1.8 turnovers a game though he had 33 assists and 34 turnovers during conference play.

Edwards did, however, show a propensity to score. He had 17 double-digit scoring efforts and averaged 10.3 points a game. The problem was that he wasn’t overly efficient. Edwards shot 38.2% from the field and 34% from beyond the arc.

Edwards was a consensus three-and-a-half star recruit out of  Atascocita, Texas.
