Luke Kennard, Duke

Luke Kennard is the best shooter in the class and now will be the best shooter in Detroit. Kennard spent two years at Duke and showed that he could really score, averaging over 19 points per game. He has a high motor to go along with his high basketball IQ. Lack of elite athleticism is his biggest question mark.

I really don’t have a major problem with Kennard going to the Pistons, though I do not believe he is a true lottery pick, rather slating him for picks 15-20. Plus, Louisville’s Donovan Mitchell would have been a better value.

Mitchell was selected with the 13th overall pick by Denver and subsequently shipped to Utah for Trey Lyles along with Tyler Lydon.
