Big Ten Basketball: Class of 2017 recruiting breakdown
By Bryan Mauro
Purdue Boilermakers
Purdue had the best season of any Big Ten team last year. They made a nice run in the NCAA tournament, had an NBA first round pick in Caleb Swanigan, and return a nice core of players from last year’s team. This team should be one of the favorites to finish near the top of the conference again, although MSU is the heavy favorite to take the crown.
SG/SF Nojel Eastern – Evanston, IL
Rated ∗∗∗∗ and #66 by 247Sports
While not a great shooter, Eastern will really impact the game on the defensive side of the ball. He can play and defend anyone on the perimeter. Most times, Eastern will let his natural talent take over, and that will be enough to help him be a very explosive player. Once he learns to be more aggressive and more assertive, the sky is the limit for Eastern.
