List of coaching changes

Maine Black Bears: The Black Bears will be under the direction of interim head coach Amy Vachon. Vachon took over the team in January when head coach Richard Barron took a medical leave of absence. Maine posted an 11-7 record under Vachon’s direction, which included winning two games during the America East Tournament before falling in the conference championship game.

Wichita State Shockers: The Shockers head into the AAC with a new coach in Keitha Adams. Adams was previously at UTEP for 16 seasons where she posted a 284-209 record that included two NCAA Tournament and two WNIT appearances. She also served as head coach at Independence CC, compiling a 127-37 record.

Davidson Wildcats: Gayle Coats Fulks became the 12th head coach in Davidson history on May 16. This is Fulks’ first head coaching job. She served as an assistant at Wake Forest the previous five seasons.

Georgetown Hoyas: The Hoyas ended up in the market for a head coach after Natasha Adair decided to take the job at Delaware. The Hoyas stayed in-house to replace Adair, promoting associate head coach James Howard. Prior to his two-year stint with the Hoyas, Howard worked at Bethune-Cookman and Howard. Howard served as head coach at Wesley College for six seasons, posting a 75-69 record.

Northern Arizona Lumberjacks: Loree Payne was recently named the Lumberjacks’ 12th coach. Payne comes to NAU from D-III Puget Sound where she compiled a 130-58 record in seven seasons.
