NCAAW Basketball: Which schools hired new coaches for 2017-18?

Southeastern Louisiana Lions: The Lions promoted lead assistant Ayla Gazzardo to head coach this offseason. Gazzardo is the seventh head coach in school history.

Mississippi Valley State Devilettes: Ashley Walker brings 12 years of college coaching experience to MVSU. Walker, who is the Devilettes fifth head coach, previously served as head coach at Wiley College — going 39-17 in two seasons.

Denver Pioneers: Jim Turgeon takes over a Pioneers program that finished second to last in the Summitt League and was 6-24 overall. Turgeon comes to Denver from D-II CSU-Pueblo, where he compiled a 54-10 record. CSU-Pueblo set a program record with 28 wins last season.

Pepperdine Waves: Delisha Milton-Jones is another former WNBA player to get her first collegiate head coaching job in 2017. Milton-Jones, who was selected with the fourth overall pick in 1999, was an assistant with the Waves last season.

Grand Canyon Antelopes: Nicole Powell is yet another former WNBA player to grab her first head coaching job this offseason. She previously spent three seasons as an assistant at Oregon and one season at Gonzaga.
