Turnovers were not as bad as usual

Yes, I know what I said earlier about their turnovers being a big problem in this game, and, don’t get me wrong, they were.

However, Duke did have fewer turnovers in this game than they have in the last few games. The Blue Devils are one of the worst teams in the country in terms of turnovers per game, and 11 is actually an improvement on how many they usually have.

Unfortunately, the fear is that, as I mentioned in my article before the game, that this is not because they are taking care of the ball better, but, instead, because Boston College is one of the worst teams in the country at forcing turnovers.

The good news is that either one could be the case, so there is some hope that maybe Duke is finally figuring out how to take care of the ball.

Any positive from this absolutely dominating performance by Boston College against the Blue Devils is a good positive. I do not envy these players for having to go back to practice after putting up a dud against a team that was picked to finish close to the bottom of the ACC.

The better news is that this might just be the wakeup call this team needs.
