45. SR DJ Kennedy – Height: 6’4 Weight: 215 – St. Johns

2010-11 stats: 10.4 ppg 5.6 rpg 2.0 apg 1.8 spg – FG%: 46 3P%: 36 FT%: 78

Season-high points: 20 (twice) – Best Big East game: 17 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists vs. West Virginia

Another athletic senior for St. John’s was DJ Kennedy, a player known for his defensive efforts on the court. His offense took a dip from the year prior, but landed in the top 10 in both steals and defensive +/- on the court. His double-figure scoring and ability to rebound from the guard position didn’t hurt things either.

44. FR Brandon Young – Height: 6’4 Weight: 192 – DePaul

2010-11 stats: 12.6 ppg 2.4 rpg 3.7 apg 1.1 spg – FG%: 43 3P%: 33 FT%: 71

Season-high points: 31 vs. Central Michigan – Best Big East game: 20 points and four rebounds vs. UConn

While just about every other team had star upperclassmen to lead them, DePaul had a pair of freshmen to go to battle with. One of them was Young, who was a talented scorer but a poor decision maker. He was a turnover machine in his first season, including nine in the Providence game alone. Young ultimately started all four years and grew in each one.

43. SO Mouphtaou Yarou – Height: 6’10 Weight: 255 – Villanova

2010-11 stats: 8.4 ppg 7.1 rpg 1.0 bpg – FG%: 50 3P%: N/A FT%: 66

Season-high points: 18 (twice) – Best Big East game: 15 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks vs. Pittsburgh

In the first of three straight seasons of finishing in the top-10 of rebounds in the league, Yarou was one of two post option for the Wildcats.

42. SR Casey Mitchell – Height: 6’4 Weight: 220 – West Virginia

2010-11 stats: 13.6 ppg 2.8 rpg 1.1 apg – FG%: 42% 3P%: 38 FT%: 87

Season-high points: 31 vs. Vanderbilt – Best Big East game: 13 points and 14 rebounds vs. South Florida

The former Junior College standout was a starter for half of the season. He started out hot in non-conference play, winning a few games on his own. His favorite thing to do was shoot threes, one of the bigger takers of the league. The reason why he slid down the list was due to his poor conference play, the opposite of the earlier part of the season. Other Mountaineers picked up Mitchell’s slack towards the latter half of the year.

41. SR Julian Vaughn – Height: 6’8 Weight: 225 – Georgetown

2010-11 stats: 7.8 ppg 6.1 rpg 1.5 apg 1.9 bpg – FG%: 49 3P%: N/A FT%: 67

Season-high points: 16 vs. UNC Asheville -Best Big East game: 14 points and 11 rebounds vs. Providence

The majority of the scoring for Georgetown in this year came from their guards, but Vaughn found other ways to make an impact. He finished fifth in blocks and was good for about 8-10 points a night.
