Nevada Wolf Pack – Tre’Shawn Thurman, Nisre Zouzoua, Jazz Johnson, and Corey Henson

Nevada basketball under head coach Eric Musselman, have found most of their star players via the transfer market. The Wolf Pack were able to make a deep run in the NCAA tournament behind a roster, built mostly on transfers. The bulk of the scoring on the Wolf Pack roster was done by the Martin Twins who transferred from NC State after Mark Gottfried was relieved of his duties.  This season the Wolf Pack are going to have some more key transfers to help them improve on their magical season this year.

Thurman is a transfer from Omaha in the Summit League. While Thurman put up rather pedestrian numbers at times while at Omaha, he seemed to always step up against the top teams on their schedule. Thurman is a guy who is going to fill a need for Nevada. He is not going to be relied on to score a ton of points for Nevada. Thurman is a great rebounder and will be able to fit right into what Nevada does on defense and the Wolf Pack will not lose anything. The forward will play key minutes for the Wolf Pack this year.

Zouzoua, the transfer from Bryant University is an elite scorer who is not going to miss a beat in the Mountain West Conference. He can score from all three levels but he really makes teams pay when he is able to stand behind the three-point line and make numerous shots from deep. At his last year at Bryant, he led the Northeast Conference in most major categories. He will not be relied on to score nearly as much for a loaded Wolf Pack squad but Coach Musselman is going to be happy knowing that he has that ability.

Johnson is a transfer from Portland and he is one of the more exciting players in the country to watch. There is not much that Johnson cannot do on the basketball court. Johnson will be the off guard for the Wolf Pack when he is on the floor and he shot three-pointers at a 40% clip while with the Pilots. He also saved his best scoring games for the best teams. The Wolf Pack have a ton of depth, so Johnson will be better suited coming off the bench for this team.

Henson is also a transfer from the Northeast Conference as he played at Wagner. While this transfer is not as prolific as Zouzoua, he’s a good scorer in his own right. He is another player who should be a depth piece for the Wolf Pack and is only going to add more to their offensive firepower, especially from deep. Nevada is going to be a very good team, and these four transfers will help make them better.
