7. Deng Adel, Louisville

Forward Deng Adel is another player from the Louisville Cardinals program making the jump to the NBA. Adel has no intentions of returning for his senior season either, as he’s already hired an agent.  After leading the Louisville Cardinals in scoring this past season, Adel is ready to try his hand at the next level.

He had his most productive season with the Cardinals in 2017-18, averaging 15.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game in 34 appearances. Adel’s biggest asset looks to be his sharpshooting ability from 3-point land as he shot 35 percent in his junior season. He finished shooting 34.8 percent in his career at Louisville.

His best game of the season came against the Virginia Tech Hokies. He had 27 points, 11 rebounds and three assists on 10-for-15 shooting from the field and 4-of-6 shooting from 3-point range.

Adel has the frame at 6-foot-7 and the shooting ability to play the wing in the NBA, dependent on fit. If he can find a role for himself, he’ll be a solid rookie to watch in 2018-19.
