Pac-12 Basketball: Where are the former stars selected in the NBA Draft?
Aaron Holiday, UCLA
There’s another Holiday brother in the NBA. UCLA Bruins point guard Aaron Holiday was acquired by the Indiana Pacers with the 23rd pick in the first round. He’ll join a young roster of guards led by Victor Oladipo so the window to perform is there for him.
Aaron is the brother of Justin and Jrue Holiday, also alumnae of UCLA. Justin is a member of the Chicago Bulls while Jrue is a member of the New Orleans Pelicans. Jrue had a big performance this past season in the NBA Playoffs, pouring in 23.7 points, 6.3 assists and 5.7 rebounds as they upset Portland in the first round.
Aaron comes to the Pacers after averaging 20.3 points, 5.8 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game as a junior in 2017-18. He brings tons of scoring ability as well as 3-point shooting to the table. He shot 42.2 percent from 3-point land in his career with the Bruins.
He’ll have an opportunity to share the backcourt with Oladipo and prove himself on a roster in need of more backcourt scorers.
