Expectations for Jackson in 2018-2019

The Roadrunners as a team can knock off most any team in the country, especially if they catch a team on a bad night. Jackson is going to be a huge part of the success this team has, as every night he is going to get the opposing teams best defender and each team is going to hope to slow him down. The Roadrunners are one of the teams in the Conference USA who can make a run at the top of the league. It’s wide open and has some of the better overall talents it has had in years.

Jackson as a player has some things he would like to accomplish this year. The numbers he put up were impressive but could have been so much more, as his season was cut short by a season-ending injury. He is the reigning Conference USA freshman of the year, and with a full season of the same production, the conference player of the year may be calling.

There is no reason to believe that Jackson could not win this award, he did win conference freshman of the year in an abbreviated season. While winning the award he did so over many of the top recruits and top freshman names in the conference.

The Roadrunners are poised for a big year in Conference USA and are going to be tough out for everyone they face this year. The icing on the cake for Jackson and everything he has already accomplished is an appearance in the NCAA tournament. Which thanks to UTSA’s star, is a doable feat.
