6. Chris Mack, Louisville

Head coach Chris Mack hasn’t coached a game in the ACC yet. but the resume he brings to the conference is decorated. Mack takes over a Louisville program that has had quite the off-court distractions, forcing a change in administration and coaching.

He was the head coach of Xavier for the past nine seasons, coaching them to a record of 215-97 (.689). The team made the NCAA Tournament the past five consecutive seasons and made an appearance in all but one season under Mack.

Mack brings quite the resume of winning to the Cardinals, a program that had its fair share of winning under former head coach Rick Pitino. He’s coached the likes of All American Trevon Blueitt  and J.P. Macura while at Xavier and what he’s acquiring in Louisville is right up there talent-wise. Mack will also have two grad transfers at his disposal as he looks to return the Cardinals to prominence on the court.
