Rhode Island Rams

National Rank: No. 49 overall

Even though Rhode Island basketball had to wave goodbye to Dan Hurley and an impressive crop of seniors this offseason, the program still looks to be in good shape for the future. David Cox was promoted from assistant to head coach this offseason and he has plenty of young talent to work with. Even though it does not seem likely that the Rams will compete for an NCAA Tournament bid during this coming season, this four-man recruiting class can grow together while moving up the Atlantic 10 rankings over the next few years.

At the forefront of this recruiting class is top-100 recruit Jermaine Harris. One of the best big men in the class, the 6-foot-8 Harris projects as a major frontcourt piece for the future of Rhody. Ranked at No. 87 in the 2018 class, Harris was sought after by many of the top programs in the country and his commitment was a huge recruiting win for Rhody. However, this addition alone is not what makes this class potentially special.

Although not quite on the level as Harris, both Dana Tate and Tyrese Martin are top-250 recruits that can impact the program right away and over time. Tate and Martin are versatile wings with the right size and skill sets to function well together when on the court. A potential dynamic duo down the road, these two could be very difficult to match up against.

Aris Tsourgiannis and Omar Silverio are also joining the program as potentially dangerous players.
