Overview for Nevada this upcoming season

After fielding roughly a 7-man rotation by the end of 2017-18, depth shouldn’t be an issue for the Nevada Wolf Pack in 2018-19. The Wolf Pack will have bigger goals on their agenda than just winning the MWC Conference regular season crown again. They will be a loaded bunch with tons of room to build a solid rotation this upcoming season with depth in both the backcourt and the frontcourt.

The Wolf Pack’s versatility will be on full display all season and look for it to really peak during conference play when everybody has had a chance to play together. Cody Martin played well at the point last season when Drew went down with injury now giving him the possibility to play three spots on the floor. His brother, Caleb Martin, won Mountain West Conference Player of the Year honors in 2017-18. He averaged 18.9 points per game and should challenge once again for a Player of the Year nod.

The Nevada Wolf Pack should be early favorites to win to the MWC crown once again but they will have challengers as always. The San Diego State Aztecs will be on their heels all season, but with the bulk Coach Musselman has created in the frontcourt with Porter, Thurman and Brown, this will be a very difficult team to beat in conference play come January.
