13. Buffalo Bulls

Record: 15-1 (3-0 MAC)

Last Week: No. 18

Buffalo is one of the few teams in the country that has impressed me every single time that I have watched them play so far this season. A fast-paced, highly-efficient offensive team, the Bulls have plenty of talent and an elite head coach in Nate Oats. Sure, the level of competition in the MAC might not be tremendous but it is important to mention that that conference houses more quality teams than just Buffalo. At the same rate, though, the Bulls have shown early on in conference play that they are not planning on messing around one bit.

In the first three MAC games of the year, Buffalo has taken down Eastern Michigan by 16, Toledo by 30, and Miami (OH) by 22. To put it simply, the Bulls seem to really want a high seed in the NCAA Tournament and consistently dominating their inferior opponents in the MAC will certainly do that. Oh, and it also helps that Buffalo put together a very strong non-conference resume for a mid-major.

As of right now, Buffalo ranks in the top-25 in predictive metrics as well as the NET rankings. And as long as they continue to dominate in conference play, the Bulls will continue to rise in these rankings and the committee will be almost forced to give them a top-4 seed. Head coach Nate Oats not only has an incredibly talented roster but did an awesome job scheduling.
