There are not many teams in the country playing better basketball right now than Tennessee. The Volunteers, who stand at 15-1 on the year, have not lost since Nov. 23 when they fell to Kansas in overtime. During their current 11-game winning streak, they have won by double-digits in all but one game, which was an impressive victory over Gonzaga. With the experience and talent that championship caliber teams need, Tennessee is a team you can count on.

Sticking with the SEC, one team that has seriously flown under-the-radar in recent weeks has been LSU. The Tigers, who were a preseason top-25 team in the nation, stumbled a bit out of the gates this year but have found their rhythm. They are currently winners in seven straight games as they have steadily climbed up the rankings. With back-to-back home games coming up, LSU could continue rising.

Wisconsin, on the other hand, continued its current slide this past week with back-to-back losses to Purdue (home) and Maryland (away). And while the Badgers put up a good fight in both games, they were unable to secure either victory. Head coach Greg Gard’s team has now lost four of its last five and the schedule does not get any easier with Michigan coming to town this weekend.
